As seen on TV!Connect Housing Blocks is building the future of modular construction in Columbus.Check out our story on NBC4 Columbus:https://www.nbc4i.com/news/local-news/columbus/columbus-modular-apartment-complex-project-nears-completion At Connect Housing Blocks, we are redefining how housing is built.Our modular construction process combines the craftsmanship of traditional trades with the efficiency of modern production -- allowing us to deliver beautiful, high-quality housing faster and smarter.Our team works in a state-of-the-art production facility where innovative processes and hands-on work come together to transform the future of building.If you're excited by the opportunity to help shape a growing workforce and play a key role in building something meaningful, we'd love to meet you.Job SummaryWe are seeking a talented and detail-oriented Manufacturing Designer/Detailer to join our dynamic team.The ideal candidate will be responsible for creating and developing design solutions that meet project specifications and client needs.This role requires proficiency in various design software and a strong understanding of mechanical design principles.The Detailing Engineer will collaborate with engineers and project managers to ensure that designs are functional, aesthetically pleasing, and adhere to industry standards.Responsibilities Develop detailed schematics and designs using software such as AutoCAD, and Autodesk Inventor.Create 3D models and visualizations using tools like Sketchup and to communicate design intent effectively.Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather requirements and translate them into actionable design plans.Conduct thorough reviews of designs to ensure compliance with specifications and quality standards.Assist in the preparation of technical documentation, including drawings, specifications, and reports.Participate in design reviews and provide constructive feedback to enhance project outcomes.Support the build process by providing necessary design modifications based on feedback from manufacturing teams.Requirements Proficiency in CAD/CAM software and manufacturing software tools, preferred.Experience with machine controls preferred.Proficiency with Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T) preferred.Ability to read Architectural Drawings.Minimum Associate's degree in Architecture, Engineering, CAD Design, or Manufacturing required.Two years or more experience in Building Information Modeling concepts and strategies required.Strong understanding of mechanical design principles and experience in producing schematics for various projects.Ability to interact clearly and effectively, in both written and oral communication, with vendors, management, co-workers in English.Excellent attention to detail with a strong ability to visualize concepts in three dimensions.Effective communication skills for collaboration with team members and stakeholders.Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously while meeting deadlines.Join our team as a Manufacturing Designer/Detailer where your creativity meets engineering excellence!
