Job Description
Manufacturing Engineer – Defense Industry (Onsite, St. Louis, MO) 12‑Month Long‑Term Contract Overview Our client within the Defense sector is seeking a highly skilled Manufacturing Engineer to join their team onsite 5 days per week in St. Louis, MO. This role is ideal for someone with a strong manufacturing engineering background who excels at bridging the gap between design and production teams. Key Responsibilities Translate 3D models using CATIA or Siemens NX into clear, actionable manufacturing plans. Develop detailed process plans for operations and production teams, ensuring accuracy and manufacturability. Act as a liaison between design engineering and operations, ensuring alignment across all stages of production. Collaborate closely with tooling, industrial engineering, and other support teams to confirm all required tools, fixtures, and materials are available to execute the plan. Follow up with cross‑functional teams to ensure smooth execution and resolve any issues that arise during production. Support continuous improvement initiatives to enhance manufacturing efficiency and product quality. Required Qualifications Proven experience as a Manufacturing Engineer within a production or engineering environment. Proficiency with CATIA or NX for interpreting and translating 3D models. Strong understanding of manufacturing processes, workflows, and production planning. Excellent communication skills with the ability to coordinate across multiple technical teams. Ability to work onsite full‑time in St. Louis, MO. Exact compensation may vary based on several factors, including skills, experience, and education. Benefit packages for this role will start on the 31st day of employment and include medical, dental, and vision insurance, as well as HSA, FSA, and DCFSA account options, and 401k retirement account access with employer matching.
