Job Description
Position Summary The Manufacturing Manager is responsible for leading daily manufacturing operations associated with modular reconfigurations, makeover builds, and modification projects. This role oversees production execution, scheduling, operational efficiency, quality, safety, and on-time delivery (OTD) performance while driving continuous improvement initiatives throughout the manufacturing process. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership capabilities, a data-driven operational mindset, strong safety mindset, and extensive knowledge of manufacturing methodologies, production scheduling, lean operations, and KPI management. This position will report to the General Manager of Asset Management. Key Responsibilities Lead day-to-day manufacturing activities related to modular reconfigurations, makeover builds, and modification projects. Ensure efficient execution of manufacturing schedules while maintaining productivity, quality, and safety standards. Manage labor allocation, workflow balancing, and production priorities to meet internal and external delivery requirements. Coordinate with engineering, project management, procurement, and logistics. Maintain strong understanding of production scheduling, master scheduling, capacity planning, and manufacturing lead times. Drive On-Time Delivery (OTD) performance through disciplined schedule management and operational execution. Develop, track, and report KPIs including OTD, labor efficiency, productivity, quality metrics, downtime, and safety performance. Utilize data analytics and operational reporting to identify trends and drive operational improvements. Lead continuous improvement initiatives utilizing Lean Manufacturing and Six Sigma methodologies. Promote and enforce a strong safety-first culture throughout manufacturing operations. Lead, mentor, and develop production supervisors, leads, and manufacturing personnel. Qualifications Bachelor's Degree in Manufacturing, Construction Science, Industrial Design, or Manufacturing Engineering. A minor in Business Management/Administration is a plus. Equivalent combination of education and 7–10 years of relevant manufacturing leadership experience may be considered in lieu of a degree. Prior experience in modular manufacturing, construction manufacturing, or custom manufacturing environments strongly preferred. Required Skills & Competencies Strong understanding of manufacturing methodologies and execution. Advanced knowledge of production scheduling and master scheduling processes. Proven experience driving KPI-focused manufacturing performance. Strong analytical and data-driven decision-making capabilities. Excellent organizational and time management skills. Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving abilities. Experience implementing Lean Manufacturing and Six Sigma initiatives preferred. Strong understanding of safety compliance and manufacturing best practices. Understanding and executing Root Cause Corrective Action Technical Skills Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite required including Excel, Outlook, Word, and PowerPoint. Experience utilizing ERP/MRP systems and production tracking software A MUST . Ability to generate operational reports and analyze manufacturing data effectively . Prior knowledge of Oracle regarding supply chain is a must .
