The Manufacturing Operations Specialist – Filling & Packaging provides critical operational and documentation support within the operations environment. This role supports daily execution on the floor, manages key documentation and SAP activities, ensures compliance with established procedures, and serves as leadership coverage during supervisor PTO. The Specialist works closely with cross-functional partners to ensure safe, efficient, and on-time Filling and Packaging operations. 2nd Shift Hours: 3:00 PM – 11:30 PM, Monday–Friday, with an additional 10% shift differential. Operational Support Support daily Filling and Packaging operations to ensure adherence to the production schedule. Partner with operators, planners, mechanics, engineering, and quality to prioritize and coordinate work. Provide floor leadership and oversee day-to-day activities when supervisors are on PTO or unavailable. Assist in troubleshooting and issue escalation to maintain workflow and operational continuity. Documentation & Systems Management Review Filling and Packaging batch records for completeness, accuracy, and GMP compliance. Update, revise, and maintain manufacturing procedures (SOPs, work instructions, forms, and controlled documents). Prepare and process documentation changes including ECOs, procedural updates, and revision control tasks. Execute key SAP transactions supporting Filling and Packaging operations (material movements, confirmations, inventory postings, etc.). Prepare, organize, and submit card scans to the Document Library ensuring proper indexing and documentation accuracy. Compliance & Quality Ensure all operations follow GMP, safety, and site quality standards. Partner with Quality on documentation issues, corrections, and investigations as needed. Support internal and external audits by providing accurate records and documentation. Promote a culture of compliance and right-first-time execution across the floor. Lean & Continuous Improvement Support and participate in Lean and continuous improvement initiatives within Filling and Packaging. Identify process improvement opportunities related to documentation flow, SAP efficiency, and operational performance. Help standardize work practices and drive adherence to best practices across the team. Required Education, Experience & Skills High school diploma required. Demonstrated leadership experience in a production, filling, or packaging environment. Working knowledge of GMP manufacturing operations. Experience reviewing batch records and production-related documentation. Proficiency in SAP manufacturing or warehouse transactions. Strong attention to detail with excellent organizational skills. Preferred Experience & Skills 5–7 years of experience in manufacturing, preferably in Filling or Packaging. Ability to lead and support floor activities in a fast‑paced environment. Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills. Excellent interpersonal and communication abilities. Demonstrated capability to influence, guide, and support team members without direct supervisory authority.
