Job Description
Role Overview Step into a pivotal role at the intersection of manufacturing, data, and AI innovation. At Golgix, we partner with manufacturers to help them transform how their factories think, act, and improve — turning data into decisions and insights into real-world performance gains. As a Manufacturing Solutions Delivery Engineer , you’ll be the link between customers and technical teams — ensuring Golgix’s AI solutions are well‑scoped, deployed smoothly, and deliver measurable results. You’ll work closely with customers to understand their processes and pain points, gather requirements, and relay them clearly to engineering and data science teams for execution. You’ll oversee projects from discovery to delivery, aligning teams and staying hands‑on with data and dashboards to ensure real impact on the shop floor. You’ll also stay updated with the latest advancements in AI and data science while bringing your manufacturing domain expertise to guide practical, impactful solutions for every customer. Location: Milwaukee, WI — Local candidates preferred, but open to remote options. Candidates must reside in the United States. Please note: At this time, Golgix is unable to provide visa sponsorship. Day-to-Day Responsibilities Client Engagement & Solution Delivery Engage regularly with manufacturing clients to identify pain points, process inefficiencies, and improvement opportunities. Translate client needs into clear technical deliverables for internal data and ML engineering teams. Act as the internal customer, helping prioritize and validate solutions from a manufacturing perspective to ensure they meet key operational needs before deployment. Manage multiple implementation projects simultaneously — from kickoff and scoping to validation and adoption. Act as the primary point of contact for clients, driving communication, solution alignment, and delivery progress. Build strong relationships with production managers, engineers, and plant operators to ensure successful adoption and measurable value. Manufacturing Process Understanding Apply your understanding of manufacturing systems, quality control, and production workflows to contextualize data-driven insights. Identify key variables, metrics, and KPIs relevant to efficiency, OEE, downtime, and predictive maintenance. Collaborate with clients to establish baseline performance and track improvements post-deployment. Data Science & Technical Collaboration Work with Python-based data pipelines, SQL-based dashboards, and AI tools to validate outputs and interpret performance. Support engineering teams in feature engineering, data exploration, and model evaluation using manufacturing datasets. Build and enhance dashboards to visualize production insights, alerts, and key trends. Project Management & Communication Coordinate with ML engineers, BI engineers, and developers to ensure smooth and timely project execution. Communicate project status, issues, and results effectively to both client and internal teams. Deliver client presentations, demos, and training to support smooth adoption of Golgix solutions. Maintain structured documentation for deployments, metrics, and feedback loops. Onboarding & First Month Orientation: Learn how Golgix delivers AI solutions and builds strong partnerships with manufacturing customers. Shadowing: Observe client meetings to understand how we identify challenges and communicate solutions. Projects: Take ownership of delivery tasks and customer coordination early on. Ownership: Gradually lead full customer engagements, managing expectations and ensuring measurable results. Why This Role Is Special Real Impact: You’ll help manufacturers unlock the power of AI and data to improve productivity, quality, and efficiency. Client-Facing & Technical: Blend your manufacturing expertise with Python, SQL, and analytics tools to bring AI solutions to life. Growth Opportunity: Gain hands-on exposure across AI, operations, and solution delivery — supported by an experienced, collaborative team. Dynamic Culture: Work in a fast-paced startup environment that values curiosity, ownership, and real-world results. You’ll Thrive Here If You Hold a technical degree in Manufacturing, Mechanical, Industrial or related engineering fields
