Paint Supervisor Job Title Manufacturing Supervisor – Paint | Production Supervisor – Industrial Coatings Department Manufacturing / Paint Employment Type Full-Time Company Overview GTI Energy operates in a contract manufacturing and industrial manufacturing environment focused on fabrication, coating, and system integration of modular systems. Our production environment requires disciplined execution of surface preparation, coating application, and finishing processes supported by Lean Manufacturing and Continuous Improvement. Position Overview GTI Energy is seeking a Manufacturing Supervisor – Paint to lead industrial coating and paint operations. The Manufacturing Supervisor will oversee surface preparation, coating application, and finishing processes in a contract manufacturing environment. This Manufacturing Supervisor role is responsible for ensuring coating quality, throughput, safety, and on-time delivery across paint operations. Key Responsibilities Production Supervision & Coating Operations Lead paint and coating operations as a Manufacturing Supervisor across surface prep and finishing processes Supervise teams performing abrasive blasting, masking, priming, and coating application Ensure production aligns with on-time delivery and on-time release KPIs Manage coating operations in a high-mix, industrial manufacturing environment Lean Manufacturing & Continuous Improvement Drive Lean Manufacturing, Continuous Improvement, 5S, and Kaizen within paint operations Apply Six Sigma, Root Cause Analysis, 5 Whys, and Fishbone methodologies Improve coating efficiency, cycle time, and throughput Reduce defects, rework, and coating inconsistencies Quality, Safety & KPI Ownership Ensure coatings meet specifications, thickness requirements, and ISO9001 standards Track KPIs including throughput, defect rates, rework, safety, and on-time delivery Enforce safety standards related to coatings, ventilation, PPE, and hazardous materials Maintain coating inspection and quality verification processes Cross-Functional Execution Partner with Engineering and Quality to resolve coating defects and process issues Work with Production and Supply Chain to ensure material readiness Support training and development of paint technicians Required Qualifications 3–7 years of experience as a Manufacturing Supervisor, Production Supervisor, or Paint Supervisor Experience in contract manufacturing or industrial manufacturing Strong knowledge of industrial coatings, surface prep, and paint processes Experience with Lean Manufacturing and Continuous Improvement Preferred Qualifications Background in fabrication, industrial, or coatings environments Experience with powder coating, wet paint systems, or blasting Experience with Six Sigma, 5S, and Kaizen
