Description The Manufacturing Technician (Level IV) serves as the primary technical authority on the production floor. You will oversee the assembly, integration, and high-level debugging of complex electro-mechanical robotic systems. This is a "Technician- role that requires not only elite mechanical and vacuum system skills but also the ability to lead continuous improvement." Key Responsibilities System Integration & Authority: Lead the assembly and calibration of high-load robotic systems and vacuum wafer-handling tools to rigorous Acceptance Test Procedures (ATP) . Advanced Diagnostics: Perform expert-level root-cause analysis on electrical, pneumatic, and vacuum systems, troubleshooting down to the component level when standard SOPs require engineering level troubleshooting. Process Ownership: Collaborate w/ Manufacturing Manager and Engineering to validate and refine SOPs and kitting. Assist in implementing 5S and Lean methodologies to optimize station cycle times. Mentorship: Technical lead for Tech II and III staff; responsible for certifying the team on specialized equipment such as helium leak detectors and precision metrology tools. Quality & Shipping: Conduct comprehensive pre-Quality audits to ensure assemblies are 100% compliant before submission to Quality lead for final sign-off. Acts as the primary technical partner to the Manufacturing Engineer for 'Copy Exact' compliance on the floor. Requirements Experience: 10+ years of direct experience in semiconductor equipment manufacturing or high-precision robotics. Associate’s degree (A.S.) from two-year college or technical school or military training is a plus. Technical Mastery: * Expertise in Helium Leak Detection and vacuum integrity. Proficiency in 3D modeling software (SolidWorks/Composer) for assembly visualization. Advanced skill with multi-meters, oscilloscopes, torque programs, and precision alignment tools. Leadership: Proven track record of coaching and developing small teams or managing complex technical projects independently. Skills & Abilities Ability to interpret complex schematics and fluid power diagrams. Strong analytical skills to solve "edge-case" technical problems without existing documentation. Excellent communication skills for presenting to engineering teams. Willingness to travel domestically or internationally (up to 15%) for critical field service or partner site support
