The Claremont School District is located in the beautiful and picturesque Upper Valley Area of New Hampshire. To learn more about Claremont School District visit: https://www.sau6.org/ Title: Principal of Maple Ave Elementary Grades 3-5 Reports to: Superintendent/Executive Director Terms of Employment: Full-Time/12 months FLSA Classification: Exempt Maple Avenue Elementary School in Claremont, NH is seeking a dynamic, transformative, child-focused educator to serve as its next principal. The successful candidate will have the opportunity to work collaboratively with a staff dedicated to improving student academic outcomes and social-emotional well-being. You will join a team of fellow administrators working toward this shared vision. The community actively supports student endeavors through the PTO, local businesses, and service organizations. Communication & Educational Programming: Develop, implement, and monitor the educational services of the school to meet the needs of all students and to support school, district, and SAU priorities. Establish and maintain a safe and effective learning environment. Develop effective relationships with students, families, staff, and community. Coordinate connections between families and community agencies. Attend School Board meetings and other team/committee meetings as needed. Serve as contact with NH DOE consultants as appropriate. Other responsibilities as directed by the Superintendent. Staff Supervision & Professional Development: Supervise and evaluate all certified staff following the practices and protocols required within contracts and by the Superintendent. Maintain appropriate levels of staffing to ensure compliance with all laws, regulations, and accrediting bodies. Provide and coordinate professional development for instructional, support, and administrative staff. Supervise the maintenance of school facilities and food service in conjunction with the Director of Business & Finance. Finances & Contracts: Develop and monitor school budgets. Negotiate and monitor contracts with service providers as appropriate and under the direction of SAU #6 administration. Compliance & Reporting: Complete required local, state, and federal reporting. Advise and consult with SAU #6 administration regarding educational and legal issues involving the school and its operations. Minimum Requirements: A minimum of 3 years of successful Principal experience at the middle or high School level. Master's degree or higher in education leadership with certification. Demonstrated administrative and collaborative leadership experience at the high school/middle school level. A passion for helping students grow and learn An ability to manage change while strengthening relationships and building networks within the community Minimum qualifications for the position include: Masters Degree At least 3 years of Principal experience Currently has a New Hampshire principal certification.
