Job Description
The South Bend Civic Theatre is seeking an energetic and strategic Marketing Communications Manager.This position is responsible for developing, implementing, and executing strategic marketing plans for the CIVIC to attract potential patrons and retain existing patrons.The position is expected to be both creative and analytical, translating business goals into successful marketing campaigns.Due to the nature of live theatre, occasional evenings and weekends are required.Passion for the performing arts and live theatre is encouraged.Key Responsibilities Strategy & Planning:Develop and implement comprehensive marketing strategies and campaigns across various channels (digital, print, broadcast, social media, etc).Estimate demand, identify target markets, and develop strategies for patron acquisition and retention.Work with the Executive Team to determine marketing budgets and targets.Create a consistent base marketing plan for CIVIC produced productions.Work with theatre staff and production teams to identify key themes and target audiences and adjust marketing strategies as needed.Establish and enforce clear marketing deadlines to ensure timely campaign launches, maintain consistent brand visibility, and keep projects aligned with overall strategic goals.Market & Data Analysis:Conduct market research, competitor analysis, and consumer behavior studies to inform marketing decisions.Track, analyze, and report on the performance of marketing initiatives using KPIs and marketing analytics tools (e.g., Google Analytics, CRM data).Provide market forecasts and reports to the executive team.Collect and compile all CIVIC marketing collateral.Campaign Execution & Management:Oversee the creation of marketing materials and content, ensuring consistent brand messaging.Manage and allocate the marketing budget to ensure maximum Return On Investment (ROI).Coordinate marketing efforts with all CIVIC departments.Responsible for the creation of all marketing materials for print and web, including, but not limited to, season brochure, production programs, and all fundraising collateral.Coordinate all printing and distribution.Manage media relations including all media interviews and event coverage.Plan, write, and send all external communications and promotional emails.Responsible for the creation of all filming and photography for production rehearsals, performances, and events as needed.Maintain SBCT.org website and CIVIC social media:Facebook, Instagram, TikTok, YouTube, etc.Manage and edit all lobby and concessions monitors.Work with Development to create and sustain strategic marketing partnerships and cross-promotions.Work with CIVIC staff on events throughout the year including annual fundraisers.Perform other job-related duties as assigned.Brand Management:Maintain and enhance a positive company brand image and messaging.Advise Executive Team on pricing strategies for productions and services based on sales data.Job Type:Full-time Pay:$45,000.00 - $48,000.00 per year Work Location:In person.
