Role Description Reesey Shaw Curatorial is seeking a part-time, on-site Marketing & Curatorial Intern to join our San Diego-based team. The position may provide University credit and future job references, as well as potential for future employment. This role sits at the intersection of curatorial practice, research, and audience engagement. The Assistant will support curatorial projects, maintain and organize physical and digital archives, and collaborate on marketing initiatives that amplify exhibitions, artists, and programming. The ideal candidate is highly organized, visually literate, research-driven, and excited to translate curatorial work into compelling public-facing content across digital platforms. Ideally, a student or recent graduate with an art history and website management background (Prismic, next.js, SiteGround). Qualifications Must reside within commuting distance to our La Jolla office. Must provide well written, detailed cover letter as well as a writing sample on one of your favorite artists from the website's library: https://www.reeseyshawcuratorial.com/ Tuesday & Thursday 10AM - 1PM availability. Experience with library services, archives management, or collections organization. Strong foundation in art history and research methodologies. Exceptional organizational skills with meticulous attention to detail. Clear, professional communication skills and a collaborative working style. Ability to manage multiple projects, prioritize tasks, and meet deadlines. Familiarity with museum, gallery, or library environments strongly preferred. Proficiency across social media platforms (Instagram, Facebook, TikTok) is required, including content organization, scheduling, and audience engagement.
