Job Description
GTM Engineer (Senior IC) Location: New York, NY (Hybrid) Reports To: Head of Growth (with dotted line to Engineering Leadership) Overview We’re partnered with a high-growth, venture-backed technology company building at the intersection of AI, operations, and go-to-market infrastructure. As the business scales across multiple acquisition channels—including paid, influencer, events, and sales-assisted motions—they’re looking to hire a GTM Engineer to bridge a critical gap between growth and engineering. This is a unique opportunity for a technical operator who thrives in fast-moving environments and wants to sit directly within the growth team—owning the systems, automations, and data infrastructure that power customer acquisition at scale. The Opportunity This role exists to solve a common scaling challenge: growth teams identify high-impact opportunities, but lack the technical resources to execute quickly. Meanwhile, engineering teams are focused on core product priorities. The GTM Engineer acts as the connective tissue—building and shipping the tools, pipelines, and integrations that allow the go-to-market organization to move faster, operate smarter, and scale efficiently. This is not a traditional software engineering role. It’s a builder-operator position where speed, impact, and problem-solving matter more than perfect code. What You’ll Own Design and build growth data infrastructure, including lead routing, attribution pipelines, CRM enrichment, and conversion tracking across channels Automate manual workflows across the GTM org (campaign reporting, lead scoring, influencer tracking, sales handoffs) Develop internal tools and dashboards that provide real-time visibility into performance for marketing and sales teams Own integrations across the marketing tech stack (e.g., paid media platforms, CRM systems, data tools) and internal systems Partner closely with Growth and Product teams to instrument experiments, validate data integrity, and support decision-making Evaluate, implement, and optimize tools within the growth tech stack What They’re Looking For 3–6 years of experience in growth engineering, marketing engineering, RevOps engineering, or similar roles within high-growth environments Strong proficiency in Python or JavaScript/Node, along with solid SQL skills Hands-on experience working with marketing APIs (Meta, Google, TikTok, LinkedIn) and CRM platforms (HubSpot or Salesforce) Experience building or managing data pipelines (e.g., dbt, Fivetran, Airbyte, or custom ETL workflows) Familiarity with event tracking tools (Segment, Amplitude, or similar) Comfort operating across both code-based and no-code/low-code tools (Zapier, Make, etc.), with good judgment on when to use each Background in high-velocity, consumer-facing environments preferred Who This Is For You’ve been embedded in or closely partnered with growth/marketing teams and enjoy enabling non-technical stakeholders You’re highly autonomous and can take an idea from concept to execution without heavy structure You prioritize speed and impact, and are comfortable iterating quickly You enjoy solving ambiguous problems and building systems from scratch Who This Isn’t For Engineers who prefer structured roadmaps, defined specs, and traditional sprint cycles Candidates focused on backend architecture or production-grade systems over rapid iteration Individuals who require clearly scoped tickets rather than operating independently Why This Role High ownership and visibility within a critical function of the business Opportunity to build foundational GTM infrastructure from the ground up Direct impact on revenue-driving initiatives Exposure to both growth strategy and technical execution
