Marketing Manager — Pet Care Growth Brand 📍 Rockville, MD | Full-Time | $60K–$70K + Bonus + Growth Potential OpExpert is partnering with a fast-growing premium pet care company to hire a hands-on Marketing Manager who is excited to build, create, and grow alongside an expanding brand in the pet industry. This is not a “sit behind a desk and post on social media” marketing role. The Opportunity We’re looking for a highly organized, creative, and execution-focused Marketing Manager to help drive: New customer acquisition Brand awareness Community engagement Customer retention Repeat bookings and loyalty You’ll work directly with leadership to execute campaigns, create engaging content, coordinate events, strengthen local partnerships, and help build scalable marketing systems that can grow alongside the business. What You’ll OwnCommunity & Event Marketing Plan and execute local events, partnerships, workshops, open houses, and community activations Coordinate logistics, vendors, promotions, and follow-up communications Build relationships with local businesses, pet-focused partners, and community organizations Track event performance, lead generation, customer bookings, and ROI Social Media & Content Creation Own and manage social media across Instagram, Facebook, TikTok, and other platforms Create engaging photo/video content featuring dogs, customer stories, behind-the-scenes moments, and services Develop and maintain strategic content calendars Engage with followers and grow online community presence Stay on top of social trends and platform growth opportunities Email Marketing & CRM Build promotional campaigns, newsletters, and customer lifecycle flows Segment audiences for stronger engagement and conversion Monitor email performance and optimize campaigns based on results Support CRM organization and customer communication initiatives Campaign Execution & Brand Growth Support promotions across daycare, boarding, grooming, training, and retail services Collaborate closely with operations and leadership teams Maintain a polished, premium, and consistent brand experience Assist with basic creative design work using Canva or similar tools What Success Looks Like You’ll help drive measurable business growth through: Increased customer leads and bookings Higher customer retention and repeat visits Growing local brand awareness Successful events and partnerships Strong-performing social media and email campaigns Increased engagement that converts into revenue What We’re Looking ForExperience 2–5 years of marketing experience Experience in service-based, hospitality, wellness, lifestyle, retail, or local business marketing preferred Strong social media management and content creation experience Familiarity with email marketing platforms like Mailchimp, Klaviyo, or similar Event marketing or community activation experience is a major plus Skills Strong project management and organizational skills Eye for branding, aesthetics, and high-quality visual storytelling Comfortable creating content and basic graphics Ability to analyze marketing performance metrics Understanding of direct-response market
