Great opportunity with a local Ocala contractor.$25 to $27 per hour.Ocala area.Must have ALL tools.Please respond back with contact info to this ad.In-person at:Action Labor Ocala1013 NE Osceola AvenueOcala, FL 34470press ( 1) for Recruiting(352) 622-8810 Overview We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Mason to join our dynamic construction team.In this role, you will be instrumental in shaping durable, high-quality structures through expert masonry techniques.Your craftsmanship will contribute to a variety of projects, including new builds, renovations, restorations, and hardscape installations.This position offers an exciting opportunity to work on diverse sites, utilizing your technical expertise and passion for construction to bring architectural visions to life.We prioritize safety, precision, and teamwork in every project we undertake.Responsibilities Construct, repair, and restore structures using various masonry materials such as brick, stone, concrete blocks, and stucco.Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings to ensure accurate project execution.Prepare surfaces by cleaning, leveling, and setting forms for concrete pouring or finishing.Install rebar reinforcement and formwork for concrete structures with precision and adherence to safety standards.Operate hand tools and power tools effectively for cutting, shaping, and placing masonry materials.Apply finishing techniques including concrete polishing, plastering, caulking, and tile laying to achieve smooth surfaces and aesthetic appeal.Collaborate with carpenters, roofers, electricians, and other trades to ensure seamless project completion on time and within scope.Qualifications Proven experience in construction or masonry work with a strong understanding of concrete forming, rebar installation, stucco application, and tile laying.Proficiency in reading blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings related to masonry projects.Skilled in the use of hand tools such as trowels, hammers, chisels as well as power tools including saws and drills.Knowledge of heavy equipment operation relevant to construction sites is a plus.Familiarity with renovation projects involving restoration work or frame carpentry is desirable.Ability to work safely on construction sites while maintaining high standards of quality and craftsmanship.Strong teamwork skills with the flexibility to adapt to various project requirements across different locations.Join our team as a Mason and bring your expertise to exciting projects that challenge your skills while contributing to the creation of resilient structures!
