The Massage Therapist will provide expert therapeutic massage and body experiences in accordance with advanced standards training provided by Southall. Responsibilities Provide consistent professional massage and body treatments in accordance with spa protocols and accepted certification practices Be flexible with your schedule, supporting the needs of the spa Attend regular department meetings Stay current on the latest thinking pertinent to the massage/body treatment department and become well-versed and trained in its application Explain products and reasons for the prescribed body treatment to members and guests Prepare massage equipment and supplies daily as directed Maintain supply and treatment areas as directed Submit supply requests to the Spa Director in a timely fashion to ensure proper product availability for member and guests Ensure a pleasant visit for each member and guest and maintain effective guest relations Be a patient, courteous listener, and treat all sensitive personal medical information on member and guests in strictest confidence Be knowledgeable and informed regarding all spa and general club programs and services Maintain the cleanliness and neatness of the massage and body treatment areas and spa facilities as directed Report for scheduled shifts promptly and be prepared for work Work cooperatively and professionally with all departments Promote and execute effective retail sales Provide appropriate and consistent levels of guest service and hospitality Maintain personal appearance and grooming standards consistent with the Forbes
