Join a growing horticulture team that takes pride in quality and invests in professional growth Downer Brothers Landscaping is hiring a Master Pruner & Team Leader to join our Horticulture Team.This is a great opportunity for an experienced gardening professional who enjoys hands-on plant care, takes pride in high-quality work, and can lead by example in the field.We're looking for someone who can work independently, support crew performance, and help maintain beautiful residential properties with care, precision, and professionalism.This position partners with the Horticulture Divisional Manager to support field leadership, strengthen day-to-day operations, and help ensure work is carried out to company standards.What You'll Do Perform detailed garden maintenance, including pruning, weeding, and deadheading Care for perennials, shrubs, and ornamental trees to support plant health, safety, and appearance Install seasonal plantings and bulbs Monitor plant health and communicate site observations Support the growth and performance of crew members through hands-on leadership, training, and mentoring Work independently on assigned properties Support daily field priorities with the Horticulture Divisional Manager Maintain safe, clean, and professional job sites Qualifications Valid Massachusetts driver's license 3years of gardening experience Strong pruning and plant identification skills Ability to lead others and also work independently Ability to use technology to communicate with clients and manage workflow Ability to work outdoors in all weather conditions and perform physical work throughout the day, including bending and lifting 50 lbs Experience with handheld landscape equipment preferred MCH or MCLP certification is a plus Benefits Competitive pay based on experience Paid Time Off Paid holidays Opportunities for advancement Why Join Downer Brothers Landscaping Be part of a professional and growing Horticulture Team Work on high-end residential properties Build your horticulture career with opportunities to grow Join a company that values quality, professionalism, and team development Job Type:Full-time Pay:$28.00 - $38.00 per hour Expected hours:No less than 40 per week Work Location:In person.
