Material Handler

Our client, a leading organization in the manufacturing and logistics industry, is seeking a Material Handler to join their team. As a Material Handler, you will be part of the Inventory Department supporting production and distribution operations. The ideal candidate will demonstrate attention to detail, reliability, and a proactive approach, which will align successfully in the organization. Job Title: Material Handler Location: Jamaica, NY Pay Range: $17 - $18/hr Shift: 1st Shift 6:00 AM - 2:30 PM What's the Job? Implement and maintain systems for efficient material handling and storage. Operate forklifts, hand trucks, pallet jacks, and other machinery to move materials onto and off trucks. Locate materials and supplies by pulling and verifying materials listed on production orders. Prepare finished materials for shipment by identifying, pulling, packing, crating, and loading products. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to resolve any material-related issues or discrepancies. What's Needed? Minimum of 2 years of experience in receiving, inventory control, and stocking materials. Proficiency with basic computer skills, including Microsoft Office and Excel. Experience with data entry and inventory management software such as Epicor CRM. Ability to operate equipment like forklifts, pallet jacks, or reach trucks (certification preferred).
