Material Handler / Yard Helper Join the legacy of Tholl Fence — Northern Nevada’s oldest and largest fence company, family-established in 1912. We are seeking a reliable and hardworking Material Handler / Yard Helper to join our fence contracting team. As a Material Handler / Yard Helper, you will play a key role in the safe movement, organization, and tracking of materials, tools, and equipment within our yard and warehouse operations. The ideal candidate is dependable, safety-minded, and able to work efficiently in all weather conditions. Key Responsibilities Safely receive, inspect, unload, and organize incoming vendor deliveries Load, unload, and prepare field trucks daily with tools, equipment, and materials needed for scheduled jobs Make deliveries to job sites and customers as needed Pull and stage materials accurately for upcoming projects Assist with inventory counts and maintain organized stock areas Operate forklifts, overhead cranes, pallet jacks, hand trucks, and other material handling equipment Maintain a clean, safe, and organized yard and warehouse environment Verify shipping and receiving paperwork, ensuring quantities and part numbers match purchase orders and work orders Support field crews by ensuring all required materials and equipment are prepared for daily operations Qualifications & Requirements Ability to lift and carry 50–100 lbs regularly Comfortable standing, bending, lifting, and working outdoors in varying weather conditions Valid driver’s license required Ability to pass a federal drug screening, including THC Forklift experience preferred Overhead crane experience preferred Ability to drive a manual transmission (stick shift) Strong attention to detail and commitment to workplace safety Dependable attendance and positive work ethic What We Offer Long-term career opportunity with an established company Stable, full-time work Opportunity for advancement Hands-on training and skill development Team-oriented work environment Competitive pay based on experience Bonuses If you are motivated, dependable, and ready to build a career with a company that has over a century of industry experience, we encourage you to apply today.
