Job Description
TSG is seeking dynamic Material Services Operational Assessment Consultant Hybrid in Los Angeles, CA to lead the development and implementation of strategic initiatives in a supply chain environment - warehousing, conduct customer satisfaction survey of materials services, SWOT analysis, operational transformation, and process optimization. Your insights will drive impactful changes across supply chain functions, ensuring streamlined processes and sustainable growth. Candidates must reside within driving distance of Los Angeles, CA region . Job Overview Conduct thorough evaluations of current material services operations, including logistics, inventory management, and distribution processes Review and evaluate material services warehousing, logistics, and toolroom operations across staffed and unmanned facilities. Lead change management initiatives by designing and executing transformation strategies that align with organizational goals. Create a customer satisfaction survey of materials services internal customers that can assist with identifying areas for improvement. Utilize strong project management skills to oversee the planning, execution, and monitoring of operational assessment projects. Provide expert business consulting to senior leadership on best practices in material handling, supply chain optimization, and process redesign. Identify operational inefficiencies, bottlenecks, manual workarounds, and process variability; also, conduct SWOT analysis. Provide benchmarks with other similar sized municipal utilities and warehouse operations. Qualifications : Bachelor’s degree in business admin., SCM, engineering, or related technical field Proven experience in management consulting with a focus on supply chain or material services operations. Proven ability to conduct workshops, gather business requirements, and document future-state processes. Strong analysis skills with the ability to interpret complex data sets and translate findings into actionable insights Expertise in change management methodologies and strategic planning frameworks Demonstrated success in process improvement initiatives within logistics or material handling environments Project management experience with the ability to coordinate multiple initiatives simultaneously.
