Summary The Material Planner II is responsible for planning, coordinating, and controlling material flow to support manufacturing schedules and customer demand. This role independently manages assigned product lines or programs, maintains accurate material and inventory planning data, and proactively resolves material shortages or constraints. The Material Planner II works closely with Manufacturing, Purchasing, Engineering, and Master Scheduler to ensure on-time production and shipment performance and provide planning expertise and guidance to less experienced planners as needed. Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned. Plan, monitor, and maintain material flow to support production schedules and customer requirements. Develop, maintain, and adjust production and material plans based on demand, capacity, and inventory targets. Analyze inventory levels, demand signals, and production performance to identify material risks and take corrective action. Communicate daily with Manufacturing, Purchasing, and Scheduling to resolve shortages, prioritize work, and align execution with plan. Coordinate with Engineering to support engineering change orders (ECOs), manufacturing orders, and document updates. Support and collaborate with the Master Scheduler to ensure feasible and achievable weekly and long-term production plans. Use the ERP system for basic reporting and data entry. Identify process improvement opportunities related to material planning, inventory accuracy, and schedule adherence. Make independent planning decisions within established policies and escalate issues as appropriate. Other duties as assigned. Minimum Qualifications An individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.
