Job Description
Position Overview Apollo is a high-growth, global alternative asset manager. In our asset management business, we seek to provide our clients with excess return at every point along the risk-reward spectrum from investment grade to private equity with a focus on three investing strategies: yield, hybrid, and equity. For more than three decades, our investing expertise across our fully integrated platform has served the financial return needs of our clients and provided businesses with innovative capital solutions for growth. Apollo's Alternative Asset Trading (AAT) group sits within Apollo Capital Solutions (ACS) and is building the foundational infrastructure for the private credit market. Public and private credit markets are converging, the $40T+ private credit market is scaling rapidly, yet the data, settlement, and workflow infrastructure underpinning it remains manual and fragmented. Private credit assets lack authoritative digital record, there is not a standard for how deal data flows between originators, investors, and counterparties. Owning and transacting in private credit should mirror the public credit experience. Apollo is leading to make that a reality. Apollo has already taken significant steps to drive this evolution. Launching ICE Private Credit Intelligence in partnership with Intercontinental Exchange to establish the core data infrastructure layer for private credit with permissioned data sharing, and scalable data extraction from deal documents. Apollo's dedicated secondary trading desk has facilitated over $10 billion in private credit trading volume. Additional workstreams span index development, digital transfer and settlement solutions, and more frequent pricing and NAV transparency across Apollo's credit business. The firms that help define the infrastructure will lead the market. We are seeking a senior leader to own the next phase of this buildout: taking ICE Private Credit Intelligence from anchor partner launch to market-wide adoption, scaling Apollo's broader market structure initiatives, and commercializing the platform across the private credit ecosystem. This is a market structure and business-building role, not a traditional technology or operations hire. The individual will operate at the intersection of strategic partnerships, commercial execution, and operational buildout. The role reports to senior ACS leadership and interfaces with Apollo's investment teams, trading desks, operations, legal, compliance, investor relations, regulatory affairs, and senior management. Primary Responsibilities ICE Private Credit Intelligence – Platform Ownership Own the Apollo side of the ICE Private Credit Intelligence partnership end-to-end: product development, data standards, go-to-market execution, and commercial strategy Manage the phased buildout from foundation (document ingestion, initial dataset) through scaled adoption (forward flow integration, LP reporting, multi-GP onboarding) to market standard (cross-GP analytics, pricing benchmarks, indices, fully automated pipelines) Build and manage the document supply pipeline with centralized, consistent, automated delivery of deal documents to ICE for data extraction Own the permissioning policy framework: design the visibility tiers and access rules (public, permissioned, restricted) that govern how deal-level data flows through the platform; define borrower election defaults, agent controls, and override workflows that ICE enforces Drive ICE adoption into Apollo's closing and operations workflows so it feels additive, not disruptive, to deal teams and operations Hold partners accountable to concrete SLAs on document ingestion latency, data accuracy, and dedicated engineering resources while simultaneously ensuring Apollo's side of the dependency (clean document supply, fast validation feedback, internal adoption) is met Lead the integration of ICE data with internal systems (booking, portfolio management, reporting) and external platforms (Aladdin, Everest, Charles River) to make the dataset operationally useful Manage the transition of a securities master evolution from manual data entry to AI-assisted data validation reframing the workflow improvement role Anchor GP Enrollment & Commercial Strategy Design and execute the strategy to onboard additional originators, asset managers, and capital markets participants onto the ICE platform to convert the Apollo-seeded dataset into an industry-wide data utility Own the GP incentive structure: subsidized early access to remove adoption friction, contribution-based economics to align incentives with data quality, and strategic governance participation for top-tier anchors Lead pitch conversations with anchor GP candidates, framing the platform around
