About Us:Meals by Mel is a leading food preparation company dedicated to providing nutritious and delicious meal options for our customers.We are committed to promoting a healthier lifestyle through convenient, chef-crafted meals that cater to various dietary preferences and needs.Join our team and be part of our mission to make eating well easier.Job Description:We are seeking enthusiastic and detail-oriented Meal Packers to join our team at Meals by Mel.As a Meal Packer, you will be an essential part of our food preparation process, ensuring that our meals are packed accurately and with care, maintaining the high standards that our customers expect.Key Responsibilities:Package meals according to company guidelines and safety standards.Label and date all meal containers accurately.Perform quality checks on meal packaging to ensure accuracy.Maintain a clean and organized packing area.Adhere to food safety regulations and hygiene protocols.Assist with inventory management and restocking packaging supplies.Collaborate with the team to meet daily production targets Be aware of time deadlines and goals every shift Dish washing as needed Qualifications:Have or maintain a food handlers license (will be required to obtain if hired) High school diploma or equivalent.Previous experience in food packing or a related role is a plus.Strong attention to detail and ability to follow instructions closely.Comfortable working in a fast-paced kitchen environment.Excellent communication skills and team player attitude.Basic knowledge of food safety and hygiene practices.Flexibility to work part-time hours.Ability to withstand bending/squatting Able to stand for lengths at a time Able to lift up to 30 lb Ability to handle different temperatures (working from hot kitchen area to cold storage) Knowledge of basic math Good with time management Non-slip shoes required Job Type:Part-time Pay:$18.00 - $19.00 per hour Expected hours:16 - 24 per week Benefits:Employee discount Language:English (Preferred) License/Certification:Food Handler Certification (Preferred) Work Location:In person.
