Job Summary: The Meat Deli Clerk assists the Meat Manager in achieving the sales and profit goals established for the department by efficiently ordering and managing deli section products stock and back stock. Additionally, they are also responsible for contributing to a positive shopping experience for customers, including assisting in maintaining department quality standards. Essential Functions of the Position: Ordering meat deli section items in a manner that maximizes sales, profitability and customer satisfaction while minimizing potential for shrink or loss to the company. Maintains clean and organized freezer to maximize efficiency and inventory accuracy. Follows procedures for stocking meat deli items in an efficient and effective manner utilizing organizational systems and necessary equipment to meet department standards. Ensures proper rotation of product and quality control to minimize out of code and out of stock items.
