Job OverviewWe are seeking an experienced and dedicated Meat Department Manager/Cutter to lead our meat department with expertise in meat processing, customer service, and food safety.The ideal candidate will have a strong background in food industry operations, culinary skills, and precise knife handling.This role involves managing daily operations, ensuring quality standards, and providing exceptional service to our customers in a fast-paced retail environment.Duties Oversee daily meat department operations, including inventory management and product display Prepare and cut meat products with precision using professional knife skills and meat cutting techniques Ensure all food handling and safety protocols are strictly followed to maintain compliance with health regulations Package meat products efficiently for retail sale while maintaining quality standards Assist customers by providing knowledgeable service, answering questions about cuts and preparation methods Maintain cleanliness and sanitation of the work area, adhering to food safety standards Collaborate with team members to ensure smooth workflow and high-quality product presentation Monitor stock levels and coordinate with suppliers for timely replenishment Train new staff on proper meat cutting, food safety, and customer service procedures Qualifications Proven experience in food production, food preparation, or kitchen environments, preferably within the food industry or restaurant settings Strong knife skills and expertise in meat cutting techniques Knowledge of food safety regulations and proper handling procedures Experience with packaging per retail standards Excellent customer service skills with the ability to engage positively with customers Background in culinary arts or kitchen experience is a plus Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail Prior supervisory or managerial experience within a meat department or similar setting is preferred but not necessary This role offers an opportunity to work in a dynamic environment where culinary skills and customer service excellence are valued.We seek motivated individuals committed to quality and safety standards in the food industry.Pay:$15.00 - $25.00 per hour Benefits:401(k) 401(k) matching Dental insurance Health insurance Life insurance Store discount Vision insurance Work Location:In person.
