Job Description
Job Summary We are seeking a dynamic and skilled Mechanic Technician to join our team, dedicated to maintaining and repairing a wide range of heavy equipment to small engines. This role offers an exciting opportunity for hands-on work with machinery, including excavators, forklifts, farm equipment, over the road trucks, small engines , zero turns, and lawn mowers. The ideal candidate will bring a strong mechanical aptitude, excellent problem-solving skills, and a passion for ensuring equipment operates safely and efficiently. As a key player in our maintenance team, you will help keep operations running smoothly by performing diagnostics, repairs, and routine maintenance on diverse machinery. Duties Conduct thorough inspections and diagnostics on heavy equipment such as excavators, forklifts, and farm machinery using schematics and electrical testing tools. Perform repairs on diesel engines, small engines, hydraulic systems, suspensions, and air brakes to ensure optimal performance. Utilize hand tools, power tools, welding equipment, soldering tools, and fabrication techniques to repair or modify machinery components. Ability to complete repairs in the field, or on jobs sites as needed. Read and interpret technical schematics and manuals to troubleshoot complex mechanical and electrical issues accurately. Operate heavy machinery safely during repair or testing procedures while adhering to safety protocols. Maintain detailed service records of all repairs performed and parts used; ensure compliance with safety standards and company policies. Qualifications Proven experience with repair and diagnosis of engines and equipment ranging from small engines to small and medium size diesel equipment and tractor. Knowledge of hydraulic systems and troubleshooting fundamentals. Knowledge of electrical systems and troubleshooting fundamentals Proficiency in fabricating parts or components using welding or other fabrication techniques. Proficient in using diagnostic tools and equipment Familiarity with schematics related to hydraulics, electrical systems, transmissions, and air brakes. Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and operate power tools efficiently. Strong mechanical knowledge combined with excellent customer service skills to communicate effectively with team members and clients. Excellent problem-solving skills Self Starter Dependable and Reliable Basic Computer Skills. Familiarity, and ability to operate construction equipment. Prior experience as a service technician or mechanic is required. Additional Manufacturer training provided for the right candidate.
