Position Overview: The Assembler I plays a crucial role in the assembly of component parts for rail communications equipment. This position reports directly to the Production Supervisor and/or Team Leader. Responsibilities include assembling component parts using assembly prints and the Bill of Materials (BOM). Comprehensive training will be provided to ensure proficiency in all assembly tasks. What your day-to-day will look like: Knowledge and awareness of ESD (Electro-Static Discharge) environment Selects components, such as transistors, resistors, relays, capacitors, and integrated circuits to populate PCBs (Printed Circuit Board). Be capable of twisting, bending, trimming component leads using hand tools. Solders wire leads and joints on underside of board, using soldering iron, to route and connect lead wires to board and between individual components.
