Mechanical Construction Traveling Superintendent Full-Time | National Travel Required I’m partnered with a well-established mechanical contractor that is actively seeking a Traveling Superintendent to lead field execution on large-scale commercial and industrial mechanical construction projects across the U.S. This is a field leadership role for someone who thrives in fast-paced environments and has a strong track record of driving HVAC, piping, and plumbing installations on complex, high-value projects. About the Role The Traveling Superintendent will be responsible for overseeing field operations on mechanical construction projects, ensuring safe, efficient, and high-quality installation of HVAC, piping, and plumbing systems. This individual will play a key role in coordinating manpower, sequencing work, driving schedule adherence, and working closely with project managers, subcontractors, and general contractors in the field. Project Experience Healthcare facilities Data centers Advanced manufacturing / industrial projects Life sciences / pharma facilities Government / municipal buildings Entertainment venues Large-scale commercial construction Key Responsibilities Lead field execution of mechanical construction projects from mobilization through turnover Oversee installation of HVAC, piping, and plumbing systems Coordinate manpower, subcontractors, and daily field activities Maintain project schedule and ensure milestone adherence Work closely with Project Managers and project leadership teams Ensure quality control and adherence to project specifications Enforce jobsite safety standards and procedures Support commissioning and turnover processes Qualifications 5+ years of experience in mechanical construction field leadership Strong background in HVAC, piping, and plumbing systems Experience managing mechanical scopes on projects $10M+ Proven ability to lead field teams on large commercial or industrial projects Strong understanding of construction sequencing and field coordination Experience in complex environments (healthcare, data centers, industrial, etc.) Willingness to travel nationally for project assignments What’s Offered Competitive compensation package Travel support and per diem Opportunity to lead large, complex mechanical projects across the country Strong pipeline of consistent national work Long-term career growth within a well-established contractor
