Mechanical Design Engineer

Job Summary We are seeking a Mechanical Design Engineer to design work holding fixtures and mechanical devices for CNC and special-purpose machines. This role involves working closely with cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality, cost-effective designs from concept through production. Key Responsibilities Design work holding fixtures based on machining requirements and customer specifications Develop 3D models, drawings, and BOMs using Siemens NX / AutoCAD or similar tools Apply GD&T, mechanical fits, and tolerance stack-up in designs Collaborate with mechanical, electrical, and software teams Support design reviews, documentation, and cost optimization Create and maintain technical documents, checklists, and reports Ensure designs meet manufacturing, quality, and project requirements Requirements Experience in mechanical design for CNC / metal removal / machining environment Proficiency in NX, AutoCAD, or similar 3D CAD tools Strong knowledge of GD&T, mechanical design principles, and blueprints Experience with fixture design, fluid power basics, and BOM/PLM systems Strong communication and cross-functional collaboration skills Preferred Experience in metal removal / machining industry Exposure to NX (Siemens)
