Job Description Job Summary: The Mechanical Design Engineer works in project teams to provide a broad range of mechanical engineering expertise designing infrared cameras. This position is responsible for the mechanical design process including design, analysis, DFM, testing, failure analysis, design iterations, documentation, production support and continuous improvements. This position includes involvement in prototyping and interfacing with scientific, electrical, optical and manufacturing teams to develop sophisticated technology and innovative new products. Job duties also include Performing Product Development Detailed CAD design (SolidWorks required) Defining mechanical architecture, including build flows and fixturing concepts Cross functional collaboration with Electrical, Optical and Systems Engineers Trade Studies Finite Element Analysis Structural, Thermal Tolerance Analysis Rapid prototyping Documentation Drawings (GD&T required), BOM generation, Configuration management Job Requirements: MUST BE US CITIZEN OR PERM RESIDENT BSME/MSME required from an accredited institution. Working knowledge and practical/hands on experience with assembly and testing of hardware (t
