Job Overview We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Mechanical Draftsman to join a dynamic engineering team focused on HVAC and mechanical system design. The role involves producing precise technical drawings, BIM models, and construction documentation for air conditioning, ducting, and piping systems. The ideal candidate will translate engineering concepts into accurate, buildable designs that meet industry standards and project requirements. This position offers an opportunity to work on complex HVAC system layouts, contributing to innovative and efficient mechanical solutions in a fast-paced environment. Key Responsibilities Develop detailed 2D and 3D CAD drawings using AutoCAD, Revit, and BIM tools Create and update HVAC ducting layouts, piping layouts, and mechanical system schematics Prepare coordinated Revit BIM models for construction and installation purposes Perform duct and pipe routing sketches based on engineering inputs and site conditions Ensure all drawings comply with industry standards and project specifications Collaborate with engineers, project managers, and site teams to interpret design requirements Support clash detection and coordination using BIM workflows Maintain accurate documentation, drawing revisions, and CAD/BIM libraries Assist in preparing technical drawings for installation and execution at site Required Skills & Tools Strong proficiency in: Revit (BIM Modeling) AutoCAD (2D Drafting) Experience in HVAC systems design, especially ducting and piping layouts Ability to prepare duct and pipe sketching with practical installation understanding Understanding of mechanical/HVAC engineering principles Familiarity with construction drawings and coordination processes Knowledge of BIM coordination workflows and model-based drafting Ability to interpret technical specifications and convert them into accurate drawings Preferred Experience Experience as a Mechanical Draftsman in HVAC or MEP projects Exposure to large-scale commercial or industrial HVAC installations Hands-on experience in site-based coordination of duct and piping systems Knowledge of BIM coordination tools (Navisworks is a plus) Strong attention to detail and ability to work under tight deadlines Expected hours: 40.0 per week Benefits 401(k) Health insurance Paid time off Work Location: In person Join us as a Mechanical Draftsman to leverage your technical expertise in a fast-paced environment where innovation drives success!
