Job Description
This is a remote position. We're seeking a Mechanical Engineer to support one of our highly specialized clients delivering engineering solutions within the nuclear energy sector. This team is recognized for its disciplined design approach, strong quality standards, and ability to execute complex projects across the full engineering lifecycle. You’ll contribute to work that directly supports safe, reliable, and compliant nuclear operations. Objective Execute mechanical engineering design and analysis within the nuclear standard design process, ensuring alignment with quality assurance requirements and project deliverables. Key Responsibilities Perform mechanical design and analysis for nuclear systems and components Support project coordination efforts to ensure alignment across engineering disciplines Apply structured design processes across all phases of engineering projects Develop and review technical documentation in accordance with project requirements Collaborate with internal teams to support execution, issue resolution, and deliverables Qualifications 5–15 years of experience in mechanical engineering within the nuclear industry Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering (BSME) required Experience working within a standard design process for engineering projects Understanding of key stages in nuclear design and engineering workflows Knowledge of applicable standards and quality assurance requirements Background in mechanical analysis and problem-solving Experience supporting project coordination across multiple stakeholders Strong technical communication and documentation skills Design Hire is proud to be an Equal Employment Opportunity / Affirmative Action employer.
