Although this position is remote, the candidate will travel in the NY/NJ areas and surrounding states for two to three hours each day. The candidate must reside in the NYC, NJ, or Long Island areas. Travel may extend to surrounding states as coverage needs arise. Overview Provides failure analysis and forensic consulting services requiring mechanical engineering expertise for insurance, legal, industrial, and other clients. Evaluates injury, equipment, and property damage claims caused by alleged issues with products, heavy equipment, machines, HVAC, plumbing, fire suppression, and other mechanical systems. Provides oral and written reports of findings, technical guidance to clients, and, when needed, expert testimony. The salary range for this position is $105,000 to $156,100, dependent on education, experience, location, and certifications/licensure. Relocation support available.
