MECHANICAL PROJECT MANAGER Location: Piedmont, SC Reports to: VP Construction Compensation: $120K - $150K We are a growing mechanical contractor delivering complex HVAC and building systems across commercial, industrial, healthcare, and mission-critical environments. With a strong project pipeline and a focus on quality execution, our team partners closely with clients and general contractors to deliver high-performing systems from concept through completion. Your Role: As a Mechanical Project Manager, you will lead projects from award through closeout, owning budgets, schedules, subcontractors, and client relationships. You will play a key role in ensuring successful project execution while managing financial performance and maintaining strong communication across internal teams and external partners. This position offers the opportunity to work on a diverse portfolio of projects while having direct visibility with leadership and impact on overall business performance. What You’ll Do: Manage all aspects of HVAC/mechanical projects including scope, schedule, budget, and quality Own project financials including job costing, WIP reporting, and cost-to-complete forecasting Coordinate with general contractors, subcontractors, and internal teams to drive project execution Lead project meetings, manage RFIs, submittals, and change orders Oversee procurement, vendor coordination, and subcontractor performance Partner with field teams on installation planning, manpower, and sequencing Maintain strong client relationships to support repeat business and long-term partnerships Ensure compliance with contract documents, codes, and safety standard What You’ll Bring: 5+ years of project management experience within commercial or industrial HVAC/mechanical construction Experience managing projects valued at $1M - $10M + Strong understanding of HVAC systems including ductwork, piping, chillers, air handling units, and controls Proven ability to manage project financials including forecasting and cost tracking Strong communication skills and ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously Experience with design-build or design-assist project delivery preferred Background in industrial or manufacturing environments preferred Exposure to healthcare or data center projects preferred Familiarity with tools such as Procore, Bluebeam, MS Project, or BIM/Revit preferred Experience with construction ERP systems (e.g., Vista or similar) preferred Why Join?
