Mechanical Construction Project Manager Portland, Oregon Competitive Base up to $170K + Bonus + Full Benefits A well-established mechanical contractor in the Portland metro area is seeking an experienced Mechanical Project Manager to lead large-scale commercial and industrial HVAC, piping, and plumbing projects. This is a high-visibility role managing mechanical budgets up to $30M . The right individual is a strong operator who can own projects from preconstruction through closeout while driving profitability, schedule, and client satisfaction. What You’ll Be Doing Manage full lifecycle of commercial mechanical projects (HVAC, piping, plumbing) Oversee projects with mechanical values up to $30M Lead preconstruction efforts including budgeting, scope review, and value engineering Develop and manage schedules, procurement, subcontractors, and field coordination Drive cost control, forecasting, and financial reporting Negotiate and manage change orders Maintain strong relationships with GCs, owners, and design teams Partner closely with field leadership to ensure execution excellence What We’re Looking For 5–10+ years of mechanical construction project management experience Proven track record managing large-scale commercial mechanical projects Experience with HVAC, hydronic piping, plumbing systems Strong financial acumen (budgets, forecasting, margin control) Ability to manage complex, multi-million-dollar projects simultaneously Strong leadership and communication skills Local to Portland area or ability to relocate Preferred Experience Experience with hospitals, data centers, higher education, or large commercial projects Design-build project experience Proficiency in Procore, Bluebeam, MS Project, or similar platforms Why This Opportunity?
