OUC - The Reliable One , is presently seeking a Mechanical Technician II (Millwright) to join the Electric & Water Production division. The ideal candidate will have : High School Diploma or GED Florida Driver’s License Minimum of four (4) years of power plant mechanical maintenance experience, OR seven (7) years of industrial multi-craft mechanical maintenance experience. Certifications and specialized training required and to be maintained thereafter: ASME Arc (stick) Welding (Must obtain within 1 year) Completion of required General Physics (GPI) learnings and JPMs through Mechanical Technician III progression level (or equivalent training if external candidate) OUC offers a very competitive compensation and benefits package. Job Purpose: Responsible for the troubleshooting and preventative maintenance of OUC’s power plant systems and equipment.The Tech II classification is expected to hone and develop the mastery of their specialization, focusing on a specific area of the Power Plant while becoming more familiar over time with other areas. They are expected to be able to work independently on simple to moderate maintenance tasks.Systems and equipment include but are not limited to: pumps, compressors, turbines, piping, valves, crushers, boilers, etc. Primary Functions: Troubleshoot power plant equipment and mechanical systems, including problem identification, evaluation of alternative solutions, and implementation of corrective action; Perform maintenance activities on steam turbines, valves,bearings,turbines, high and low horsepower fans, pumps, air compressors, hydraulic systems, centrifugal pumps, conveyor systems (pneumatic and belt), crushers and all equipment related to a power plant; Perform millwright specific duties while developing mastery in craft specialization; duties include dismantling, repairing and re-installing equipment and system pieces, making precision measurements for alignments, and complex rigging of heavy equipment; duties sometimes performed under the supervision of a Tech I until demonstrated ability to perform independently; Demonstrate proficiency of other craft specialization duties within the e
