Medicaid Billing Specialist

Overview:CALAB, Inc provides services to individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities through Medicaid.This position will require you to bill for services rendered through TMHP.We are seeking a detail-oriented, critical thinker, organized and experienced Medicaid Billing Specialist to join our team.The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing Medicaid billing processes, ensuring accurate coding, and maintaining compliance with regulatory standards.This role is essential for optimizing revenue.Prior experience with medical billing, TMHP, Care billing is highly valued.Qualifications:Work experience in medical billing, data entry and filing.Experience in TMHP, Excel, Word, and Outlook are valued.High degree of accuracy and attention to detail.High School Diploma.Excellent organizational and time management skills to prioritize tasks effectively.Ability to work independently as well as in a team environment.Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.Duties:Review medical records and documentation to ensure accurate billing.Resolve, report billing discrepancies and follow up on unpaid or denied claims.Track claims status and generate reports for management review.Collaborate with internal teams to clarify documentation and improve billing accuracy.Verify service documentation and bill for services provided.Follow up on disputed claims.Submit claims for Medicaid reimbursement.Monitor documentation and ensure paperwork is completed accurately for billing.Provide clerical support such as filing and organizing.Answering and transferring calls.Pay:$17.00/hr.We take applications in person only Monday -Thursday 9am-4pm & Friday 9am-3pm.Our office is located at 6470 Heath Rd.SAT 78250.Please bring in your Texas Driver's License, Social Security card, and High School diploma.Job Type:Full-time Pay:$17.00 per hour Expected hours:40 per week Benefits:401(k) Dental insurance Health insurance Life insurance Vision insurance Work Location:In person.
