Position Overview Fox Subacute Philadelphia is seeking a detail-oriented and solution-driven Medicaid Specialist to support our admissions and reimbursement processes. This role plays a vital part in assisting residents and families with Medicaid applications, renewals, and eligibility verification, while also supporting private pay collections and admissions documentation. The ideal candidate is extremely organized, proactive, and an excellent communicator, with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced healthcare setting. Compensation & Benefits $23.00 per hour Health, Dental, and Vision Insurance Health Savings Account (HSA) Retirement Plan with 401(k) Matching Paid Time Off (PTO) Life Insurance Relocation Assistance (if applicable) Key Responsibilities Assist residents, families, or representatives with Medicaid applications and renewals Collect, review, and organize required documentation (income, identification, residency, medical records, etc.) Verify Medicaid eligibility and coverage status Communicate with state Medicaid agencies regarding application status, updates, or corrections Track deadlines and follow up on pending applications or missing documentation Educate residents and families on Medicaid benefits, coverage limits, and renewal requirements Maintain accurate, confidential records in compliance with HIPAA and privacy regulations Support healthcare staff, social workers, and case managers with Medicaid-related tasks Assist and obtain private pay collections weekly Support admissions by filing and assisting with documentation Stay informed on changes in Medicaid policies and eligibility rules Required Skills & Experience Strong organizational skills with excellent attention to detail Ability to multitask and prioritize in a fast-paced healthcare environment Excellent customer service, phone etiquette, and interpersonal communication skills Strong written and verbal communication abilities Strong skills in Microsoft office (Outlook, Excel, Word, etc.) Ability to take initiative, problem-solve, and work independently Experience in long-term care, skilled nursing, or healthcare administration is a plus Knowledge of Medicaid processes or healthcare reimbursement preferred Fox Subacute is an Equal Opportunity Employer.
