Job Overview:Health Claims Plus, a privately owned Ambulance and Fire Billing Company is seeking an experienced individual for our Accounts Receivables department, specifically Payment Posting.As an Accounts Receivable Clerk, you will play a crucial role in ensuring all insurance and patient payments are applied according to explanation of benefits, any denials are reviewed and redirected for possible appeal processing, remainder balances either forwarded to secondary carriers or to guarantors for remaining payment.AR Clerk may also perform open balance follow-up, contact and request documents from insurance carriers by telephone &/or Internet access.Duties: Process and post payments received from clients and insurance companies- Generate and send out claims to insurance carriers- Follow up on outstanding accounts and resolve any discrepancies- Generate and send out statements to individuals & guarantors- Maintain accurate records via detailed notes within patient accounts- Assist in month-end closing procedures- Collaborate with other departments to address billing issues promptly Skills:The ideal candidate(s) for this role should possess the following skills: Familiarity with coding procedures and terminology- Proficiency in HIPAA Privacy & Security regulations- Experience in Medisoft patient billing program (beneficial)- Good memory skills; detail-oriented, good oral communication; bilingual a plus- Knowledge in Ambulance billing and collections (very beneficial) Join our team at Health Claims Plus and contribute to our mission of providing exceptional ambulance and fire billing services.If you are a dedicated professional with a passion for accuracy and efficiency in account management, we would love to hear from you.Applicant should live no more than 45 minutes from office location Job Type:Full-time Pay:$12.00 - $15.00 per hour Expected hours:40 per week Work Location:In person.
