Overview A leading healthcare organization is seeking a Spanish‐bilingual Medical Assistant II to serve as the first point of contact for patients in a fast‐paced primary care setting. This role combines direct patient care with administrative responsibilities , supporting physicians and nurses to deliver high‐quality outpatient care. The position requires strong clinical skills, teamwork, and a passion for improving patient experiences. This is a patient‐facing role and includes participation in a tuberculosis (TB) screening program. Responsibilities Serve as the initial point of contact for patients in a primary care outpatient setting Discuss symptoms with patients and accurately document information in the electronic medical record (EMR) Take and record vital signs Administer injections and perform diagnostic tests within scope of certification Collect specimens and perform blood draws Sterilize, clean, and prepare medical equipment Maintain and stock examination rooms Collaborate closely with physicians and nursing staff to support patient care Perform moderately complex administrative and operational tasks Use judgment to interpret department policies and prioritize work within defined parameters Deliver direct patient care based on active certification and licensure Support a high‐volume, fast‐paced clinical environment with professionalism and empathy Required Qualifications 1–3 years of experience as a Medical Assistant in back‐office, direct patient care Applicable state licensure or certification (RMA or CMA) Current CPR certification Spanish bilingual proficiency Experience in a fast‐paced, high‐volume healthcare environment Basic computer skills and experience with Microsoft Outlook Strong communication skills and team‐oriented mindset Willingness to participate in required TB screening Passion for contributing to an organization focused on improving patient experiences Preferred Qualifications Hands‐on professional phlebotomy experience Experience with Electronic Medical Records (EMR) systems Experience with HEDIS measures Active Medical Assistant certification or registration from one of the following: American Association of Medical Assistants (AAMA) National Healthcareer Association (NHA) American Registry of Medical Assistants (ARMA) National Association for Health Professionals (NAHP) American Medical Technologists (AMT) Radiologic Technologist license (ARRT) All qualified applicants will receive consideration for employment without regard to race, color, religion, sex, sexual orientation, gender, identity, national origin, disability, or protected veteran status.
