Responsibilities Assist with patient intake, including collecting medical histories and recording vital signs such as blood pressure, pulse, temperature, and respiration. Prepare patients for examinations and procedures, ensuring comfort and understanding of the process. Support physicians during clinical procedures by handling equipment, passing instruments, and maintaining sterile fields. Administer medications and injections following established protocols and safety guidelines. Operate diagnostic tools such as EKG machines or EHR (Electronic Health Record) systems to document patient information accurately. Conduct basic physiology assessments and support emergency medicine or trauma center procedures when needed. Manage administrative tasks including scheduling appointments, updating patient records, ICD coding for diagnoses, and processing insurance documentation. Maintain compliance with healthcare regulations by adhering to infection control standards and safety protocols in both outpatient clinics and inpatient hospital units like PICU or Geriatrics wards. Requirements Proven experience as a Medical Assistant in outpatient or hospital settings; experience in dermatology, urgent care, or Level I/II trauma centers is highly desirable. Strong knowledge of medical terminology, anatomy, physiology, and medication administration procedures. Familiarity with EHR systems, . Certification in Basic Life Support (BLS) or Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) preferred. Ability to perform clinical duties such as taking vital signs, drawing blood, work , and supporting inpatient care activities across various specialties including internal medicine or geriatrics. Strong organizational skills to manage intake processes efficiently while maintaining attention to detail in documentation and compliance standards.
