The Specialty Clinic (BS 5) is located at 79 Retreat Ave. on the fifth and second floor of the Brownstone Building of Hartford Hospital. The clinic has over 4,500 patient visits annually. There are over 10 different specialty clinics held on various days of the week. Clinics include services from Breast, Cardiology, Ear Nose and Throat, Endocrinology, Gastroenterology, Geriatrics, Movement Disorder, Neurology/Epilepsy, Ophthalmology, Pulmonary, Trauma and Urology/Cystoscopies. Staffing includes Attending's, PA's, Fellows, Residents, RN's, MA's, MAA's, Central Scheduling and an Office Coordinator. Brownstone staff guides patients through the health system, including appropriate referrals for services to other health professionals. Job Summary Under the supervision of a Registered Nurse and/or Physician, the Medical Assistant performs delegated functions as a member of the patient care team to provide a variety of multi-skilled services.
