Bilingual (English/Spanish) highly preferred Greet patients with kindness over the phone and in person/schedule patients for appointments. Maintain professional appearance. Cross-train with Front Office/Scheduling Daily tasks include: answering phone calls, schedule appointments and answering patients questions , check patients in and out, collect co-pays and payments for surgery/aesthetician, verifying insurance, calling and checking referrals , scanning, checking and responding to emails, faxes and other correspondence, making sure schedule is flowing, changing surgical dressings, injections Keeping accurate medical records confidential, recording medical history, confirming purpose of visits, fill out FMLA/Disability paperwork, scan medical documents into EHR Maintain inventory for front/back office, autoclaving instruments, restocking supplies, send specimens for pathology Help with medical procedures in-office Communication between physician and patients Must be able to communicate courteously and kindly with patients and staff/excellent customer service. Positive attitude, outgoing personality. At least 1 year medical office/back office experience needed. Experience in procedure oriented or surgical specialty office recommended.
