Employer Industry: Healthcare Services Why Consider This Job Opportunity Opportunity for career advancement and growth within the organization Work remotely after initial in-person training in the Omaha Metro/Council Bluffs area Focus on patient care and administrative support in a fast-paced environment Be part of an innovative virtual care team that is redefining patient access Supportive and collaborative work culture What To Expect (Job Responsibilities) Communicate results, enter medication requests, and document in Electronic Health Records following protocols Answer, screen, and process a high volume of incoming calls, scheduling and canceling appointments for multiple providers Utilize clinical decision trees and scheduling criteria to determine appointment urgency and type Update patients on the status of their referrals or authorizations and communicate complex exam preparation instructions Facilitate patient issue resolution by collaborating with colleagues and escalating matters as necessary What Is Required (Qualifications) Graduate of a medical assisting program accredited by the Accrediting Bureau of Health Education Schools (ABHES) or Commission on Accreditation of Allied Health Education (CAAHEP) Minimum of 2 years of experience in a patient-focused healthcare environment working as a Medical Assistant Strong communication skills to interact with patients and healthcare professionals effectively Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail Proficient in using Electronic Health Records and adhering to department workflows How To Stand Out (Preferred Qualifications) Experience in a virtual care setting or telehealth services Knowledge of clinical decision trees and scheduling criteria Familiarity with medical terminology and healthcare protocols Strong problem-solving skills and ability to facilitate conflict resolution Additional certifications related to medical assisting or healthcare administration #HealthcareServices #MedicalAssistant #RemoteWork #PatientCare #CareerOpportunity We prioritize candidate privacy and champion equal-opportunity employment.
