Benefits: 401(k) 401(k) matching Dental insurance Health insurance Paid time off Medical Billing & Coding / Receptionist Chestnut Hill Allergy & Asthma Associates Position Overview Chestnut Hill Allergy & Asthma Associates is seeking a dependable, organized, and patient-focused Medical Billing & Coding / Receptionist to join our growing allergy and asthma specialty practice. This role combines front desk responsibilities with medical billing and coding duties to help provide a smooth and positive patient experience from check-in through claim processing. The ideal candidate is professional, detail-oriented, able to multitask in a fast-paced environment, and has experience with insurance verification, medical billing, and customer service. Responsibilities Front Desk / Reception Duties Greet and check in patients in a friendly and professional manner Answer incoming phone calls and assist patients with scheduling, questions, and referrals Verify insurance eligibility and obtain necessary authorizations/referrals Collect copays, balances, and update patient demographics Manage appointment scheduling and reminder calls Maintain patient confidentiality and HIPAA compliance Billing & Coding Duties Submit and follow up on medical insurance claims Review EOBs and resolve claim denials or billing discrepancies Post insurance and patient payments accurately Verify coding accuracy for office visits, procedures, testing, and biologic medications Communicate with insurance companies regarding claim status and authorizations Assist with accounts receivable and patient billing questions Maintain knowledge of ICD-10, CPT, and insurance guidelines Qualifications Previous experience in medical billing, coding, or medical reception preferred Knowledge of ICD-10 and CPT coding Experience with EMR/EHR (eClinicalWorks) preferred Strong communication and organizational skills Ability to multitask and work independently Professional, compassionate, and team-oriented attitude Allergy, asthma, or specialty office experience is a plus
