Company OverviewSkilled Nursing Pharmacy is dedicated to understanding the unique needs of each client.Our unwavering commitment to excellence leverages cutting-edge technology to deliver the highest quality services to our patients and partners.As a small company with significant market influence, we strive to provide outstanding value and personalized care.OverviewWe are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Medical Billing Collections Specialist to join our team.The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in medical billing and collections, with expertise in coding, medical terminology, and electronic health record systems.This role offers an exciting opportunity to contribute to efficient revenue cycle management while ensuring compliance with industry standards.Duties Manage the collection process for outstanding patient accounts, ensuring timely resolution of unpaid balances.Review and analyze medical bills, verifying accuracy of coding such as DRG (Diagnosis-Related Group), CPT (Current Procedural Terminology), ICD-9, ICD-10, and ICD coding.Communicate effectively with insurance companies, patients, and healthcare providers to resolve billing discrepancies.Maintain detailed records of collection activities within electronic medical record (EMR) and electronic health record (EHR) systems.Collaborate with the billing team to update and correct medical records and coding as necessary for accurate billing.Monitor accounts receivable aging reports and implement strategies to improve collection rates.Stay informed about industry regulations and best practices related to medical billing, coding, and collections.Requirements Proven experience in medical billing, collections, or related healthcare administration roles.Strong knowledge of DRG, CPT coding, ICD-9, ICD-10, and ICD coding systems.Familiarity with medical terminology, medical records management, and healthcare documentation standards.Experience working with EMR or EHR systems for billing and record keeping.Excellent communication skills with the ability to negotiate effectively and resolve conflicts professionally.Attention to detail and strong organizational skills to manage multiple accounts simultaneously.Prior experience in a medical office environment is preferred but not mandatory; relevant training will be provided.Join our team as a Medical Billing Collections Specialist and play a vital role in optimizing revenue processes while supporting our commitment to exceptional patient care through precise billing practices.Pay:$22.00 - $25.00 per hour Benefits:Dental insurance Health insurance Paid time off Vision insurance Work Location:In person.
