Medical Billing Specialist Schedule: MondayFriday 8:00 AM 5:00 PM In person for the initial training period (estimated 4-8 weeks) and then will be 2 days in office and 3 remote. MCHC is seeking a qualified Medical Billing Specialist with demonstrated medical billing experience and/or formal medical billing education. What You'll Do Prepare, review, and submit accurate claims to insurance payers (electronic and paper) Verify patient eligibility and ensure accurate insurance and demographic information Post payments from insurance carriers and patients Analyze and follow up on accounts receivable (AR) and aging reports Communicate with insurance companies to resolve claim issues and discrepancies Interpret Explanation of Benefits (EOBs) and apply appropriate billing actions Assist patients with billing questions while providing excellent customer service We Offer a Cadillac Benefits Package Medical, Dental, and Vision Insurance Paid Time off (PTO) and 9 Paid Holidays Life Insurance 401(k) with up to 4% Employer Match Flexible Spending Account (FSA) Requirements One+ years of related experience in medical/billing reimbursement environment, or equivalent combination of education and experience which may include one or more of the following: Medical billing college classes, medical billing certification, or related medical billing experience.
