Medical Director - Behavioral Urgent Response Team (BURT) Posted : April 28, 2026 Full-Time Showing 1 location AK Native Medical Center Anchorage, AK 99508, USA Description Hiring Range: $285,750.40 to $400,039.47 Hiring Incentives: Relocation Assistance Sign On Bonus Enhanced Personal Leave Summary of Job Responsibilities: The Southcentral Foundation (SCF) Medical Director is responsible for providing direct clinical patient care and directing a hospital-based consult liaison psychiatry team at Alaska Native Medical Center. The program serves all ages and includes identifying level of psychiatric care, evaluation and management of neuropsychiatric symptoms, and facilitation of transitions of care. The services are provided in an emergency room setting as well as to inpatient medical units. This position works collaboratively with the Operations Manager and Clinical Supervisor, as well as establishes a liaison relationship within the hospital. Qualifications SCF programs are established to serve a primary population comprised of Alaska Native people who are affiliated with Cook Inlet Region, Inc. (CIRI) and Alaska Native and American Indian people within SCF’s geographical service area. Employees should have a thorough understanding of the cultures and the needs of this population. Such knowledge is critical to ensure the achievement of SCF’s vision of a Native Community that enjoys physical, mental, emotional, and spiritual wellness, and mission of working together with the Native Community to achieve wellness through health and related services: M.D. or D.O degree required. Licensed as a Physician in the State of Alaska. Current American Board certification specialty appropriate for the service. Meets all requirements in order to obtain associate medical staff membership and required privileges of service. Basic Life Support (BLS) certification is required. ACLS, NRP, ATLS, ALSO and PALS as required for specialty and any certification relating to the scope of practice as required. Two (2) years of post-residency experience as a physician; OR demonstrated proficiency as a physician at SCF.
