Overview We are seeking a compassionate, experienced, and collaborative Medical Director to lead psychiatric and medical services within our outpatient mental health clinic. The Medical Director will provide clinical oversight, psychiatric evaluation, medication management, and leadership to interdisciplinary treatment teams serving children, adolescents, and adults with behavioral health needs. This role is responsible for ensuring high-quality patient care, supporting compliance with state and federal regulations, and promoting evidence-based practices in a supportive outpatient and county jail setting. Duties Provide psychiatric evaluations, diagnosis, treatment planning, and medication management services Oversee clinical quality and medical services provided within the clinic Collaborate with therapists, case managers, nurses, and administrative staff to coordinate patient care Review and approve clinical policies, procedures, and treatment protocols Provide supervision, delegation, and consultation to psychiatric nurse practitioners and clinical staff as needed Ensure compliance with applicable licensing, accreditation, Medicaid, Medicare, and HIPAA requirements Participate in performance improvement and quality assurance activities Support crisis intervention and risk assessment procedures when necessary Maintain accurate and timely clinical documentation Participate in staff meetings, trainings, and leadership initiatives Experience Doctor of Medicine (MD) or Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine (DO) degree from an accredited institution Board Certified or Board Eligible in Psychiatry Active and unrestricted medical license in the State of Texas DEA registration in good standing Minimum of [2–5] years of psychiatric clinical experience preferred Previous leadership or supervisory experience preferred Knowledge of outpatient behavioral health regulations and standards Strong communication, leadership, and organizational skills Experience working in community mental health or outpatient behavioral health settings Experience with Medicaid/Medicare populations Familiarity with trauma-informed and recovery-oriented care models Substance Use disorder experience is a plus Bilingual abilities are a plus Join us as a Medical Director to shape the future of healthcare delivery through innovative leadership, rigorous compliance, and compassionate patient-centered care.
