Description The Medical Equipment Processing Technician performs specialized cleaning and decontamination of non-critical and semi-complex medical equipment and devices in accordance with manufacturers’ Instructions for Use (IFU), infection prevention standards, and system policies. This position ensures safe, effective cleaning of medical equipment such as intravenous pumps (IVPs), vital sign monitors, and other reusable patient-care devices that require more detailed cleaning than standard environmental surfaces but do not undergo high-level disinfection or sterilization. This role supports Baptist Health South Florida’s commitment to excellence in quality, safety, and high reliability by maintaining a clean, safe, and patient-centered environment that minimizes infection risk and supports readiness for patient care. Qualifications Degrees High School Diploma, Certificate of Attendance, Certificate of Completion, GED or equivalent training or experience required Additional Qualifications Minimum one (1) year of experience in environmental services, medical equipment processing, or a healthcare setting preferred Experience in cleaning reusable medical equipment preferred. Coursework or certification in environmental services, infection prevention, or healthcare sanitation preferred. Working knowledge of cleaning and disinfection principles and infection prevention practices. Ability to interpret and follow manufacturers’ Instructions for Use (IFUs). Strong attention to detail and ability to accurately complete required documentation. EOE, including disability/vets
