Job Description
Are you ready to take your expertise as a cardiovascular technologist to new heights. Join our team as a Cath Lab Technologist (Cardiovascular Invasive Specialist) and play a vital role on a team that values your expertise while working in Roseburg, OR. Provide support to physicians and cath lab personnel during diagnostic and interventional procedures and operate imaging equipment to capture crucial cardiac and vascular data. What You'll Need: Required certifications: BLS (AHA) and Radiologic Technologist certification or equivalent. Required certification: RCIS, or ARRT (CI) or ARRT (CV). The facility will accept RCIS in lieu of ARRT (CI) or (CV) for travelers. Oregon state licensure required. Required experience: Competent in scrubbing and circulating coronary angiograms/interventions and peripheral angiogram/interventions; experience with STEMI management, thrombectomies, device implants, and a variety of IR cases. Required skills: Sterile table setup, access site management (groin, radial, drains), familiarity with atherectomy devices, Impella and IABP operation. Charting system experience: MEDITECH preferred. Experience with McKesson/GE equipment is relevant. Orientation: 12 hours of department-specific orientation provided by peers/Special Procedure Tech. Required: Radiation badge. Facility does not provide badge. Preferred: Additional certifications or experience in advanced cardiac devices and interventional radiology techniques. Assignment Details Facility type: Hospital. Unit: Cath Lab Tech. Three suites/labs. Average caseload: 5–10 cases per day. Shift name: Days. Shift schedule: Days 0700–1600. 4x10 schedule also noted: 0700–1600 or 7:00–16:00 / alternate 4/10s 07:00–16:00 or 07:00–16:00 per facility scheduling. Typical shifts noted: 4/10s 07:00–16:00 and 7a–4:30p variations referenced for department scheduling. On-call: Cardiologists on call every 4th day and every 4th weekend. Mandatory call required. Call response time: 20 minutes. Night/weeknight call requirement: 1–2 nights per week with call beginning at end of shift until 06:30. Weekend call requirement: On-call beginning end of shift Friday through Monday every 3rd or 4th weekend. Holiday call requirement: Coverage includes one major holiday and one holiday weekend per year. Floating: No floating to other facilities required. Scrubs: Department supplies scrubs. Location Highlights Roseburg, OR offers a balanced mix of outdoor recreation and small-city amenities. The city is near Umpqua National Forest, approximately 30–45 minutes’ drive to popular trailheads and waterfalls, and about 20 minutes from the North Umpqua River, known for fishing and rafting. Roseburg has a compact downtown with shops and dining within a short commute, and access to regional airports in Eugene (about 90 miles north) and Medford (about 70 miles south). Lifestyle fit: outdoors-oriented with nearby hiking, mountain biking, fishing, and quiet suburban neighborhoods. Additional Information Scrub tech and circulator responsibilities include scrubbing cases tableside as primary duty, with occasional circulation. Procedures include PCI, diagnostic caths, device implants, peripheral and IR cases such as IVC filters. The unit manager will conduct a phone interview as part of the profile review.
