Job Description
Medical Office Assistant Specialty Neurology Clinic – Bellevue, WA We are seeking a motivated and dependable Medical Office Assistant to support our specialty neurology clinic. This position can be remote/ in-clinic hybride with occasional Sat working hour requirement. Training will be conducted onsite at our Bellevue clinic. We are happy to train the right candidate and can support the pathway toward becoming a Registered Medical Assistant (RMA) if desired. This is an excellent opportunity for someone interested in healthcare who enjoys both administrative coordination and light clinical support. Primary Role Most of your time will be spent working remotely handling: Answering and managing incoming/outgoing patient calls Scheduling appointments and coordinating provider calendars Processing referrals Insurance verification and prior authorizations (PA) Managing patient emails and communications Documenting and assisting within the EMR system Coordinating with providers and specialty offices You must be comfortable working independently from home while maintaining professionalism and responsiveness. In-Clinic Responsibilities When onsite in Bellevue, responsibilities include: Greeting patients and assisting with check-in Rooming patients and preparing them for visits Obtaining basic vital signs (blood pressure, pulse, weight, etc.) Assisting providers during clinic sessions Cleaning and preparing exam rooms before and after visits Ensuring rooms are stocked and ready Working closely with physicians and specialists to support clinic flow These duties are supportive and light clinical in nature. Training Provided EMR system training Referral and insurance workflows Prior authorization processes Professional phone communication Clinical rooming and vital sign training Support toward Registered Medical Assistant (RMA) certification (if preferred) Qualifications Required Strong communication skills (verbal and written) Organized and detail-oriented Professional phone etiquette Reliable internet connection for remote work Ability to work independently Willingness to learn medical terminology and clinic workflow Preferred Bachelor’s degree Healthcare or medical office experience Interest in becoming a Registered Medical Assistant Experience with EMR systems Ideal Candidate Self-motivated and responsible Friendly and patient-focused Comfortable balancing remote administrative work with occasional in-clinic support Interested in long-term growth within a specialty medical practice Job Types: Full-time, Part-time, Contract Pay: $18.00 - $22.00 per hour Work Location: Hybrid remote in Bellevue, WA 98004
